MacArthur Park, L.A. Formerly an Elks Lodge. Opened in 1924, architects Curlett & Beelman. Beaux Arts style. Designed as a memorial to WWI soldiers. The Elks sold the property in 1966. For a period it was low cost housing for senior citizens and students. The building has been featured in films such as; Wild at Heard, Barton Fink, The Naked Gun, The Fisher King, etc.
