John Snowdon House, Hollywood. Built in 1926. Architect Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright. The original owner, John Snowdon, was a painter and photographer. It was designeed using concrete textile blocks with Mayan themes. From 1945-1950 the home was owned by Dr. George Hodel, a Los Angeles physician who was a prime suspect in the infamous Black Dahlia murder. His son, many years later, stated that his father tortured and dissected Elizabeth Short in the basement, in 1947. (Wikipedia)
