Description
Ottawa, Ontario; Canada. Also titled "The Response". Located near Parliament. Originally build to honor all those who fought in WWI, it is now dedicated to "Every Canadian killed in battle". Opened in 1939. Sculptor Vernon March. The soldiers are passing through to enter battle, without glorification. The two figures at the top of the arch reperesent Peace and Freedom and watch over the soldiers. The tomb of the Unknown Soldier is in the foreground.
